Vault
The Vault is the collector for your Focus Points. It has a limited capacity and a level of its own, and it restarts once a day.
Tooltip
The Vault lives in the status bar. Hover it and you get everything this page describes in one place: its level and progress, the capacity, where today's FP came from, and the last capacity rolls.
Its icons come in three styles: Emoji (the default), Mixed and Native. Switch between them below to compare, and pick yours in the extension settings.
The FP breakdown: Coding, Review, Focus Time
The tooltip groups every Focus Point you earned in the current vault into three sources:
| Source | What feeds it |
|---|---|
| Coding | Lines of Code and Keystrokes, merged into one number |
| Review | Time spent reading, scrolling and understanding code, paid on top of Focus Time for the same seconds |
| Focus Time | Every second you spend in an active state |
See the Focus Points chapter for the exact formula behind each source.
Capacity
Your FP accumulate up to an upper limit. That limit is made of two parts:
Start capacity + capacity from today's Vault level-ups
The start capacity depends on your player level:
| Player level | Start capacity |
|---|---|
| 0–4 | 400 FP |
| 5–9 | 500 FP |
| 10–14 | 600 FP |
| ... | +100 FP every 5 levels |
Once the Vault hits 100%, any further FP are lost.
The Vault level: your daily progress
The Vault has its own level, independent of your player level. It starts at 0 and can go up to 100. It rises with the sum of the FP you have already claimed today. Each level needs more FP than the one before:
| Level | FP total needed | FP to next level |
|---|---|---|
| 0 → 1 | 0 | 300 |
| 1 → 2 | 300 | 360 |
| 2 → 3 | 660 | 420 |
| 5 → 6 | 2,100 | 600 |
| 10 → 11 | 5,700 | 780 |
| 20 → 21 | 15,600 | 1,320 |
The claim: FP become XP
A claim does two things at the same time:
- FP → XP: the unclaimed FP in the Vault are credited to your player level at a ratio of 5 FP = 1 XP.
- Vault level progress: the claimed FP now count towards your Vault level progress for today (see above), including possible capacity rolls.
Below 5 FP, a claim is not worth it. The Vault then only reports that there is nothing to collect yet.
Vault Max Level: your personal best
At the start, your Vault level can only reach 20 per day. The game calls this cap your Personal Best limit, and you can raise it over time:
- Reach your current cap on a given day and you earn +200 XP plus the message "New Personal Best!".
- From tomorrow your cap is then 1 level higher.
- Today it still stays at the old cap. The increase only takes effect the next day.
- The absolute maximum cap is Vault level 100.
That means your daily reachable Vault level only grows if you actually max it out. A day with few FP does not push the cap further.
The daily reset
Every day, the Vault starts all over again:
- Unclaimed FP: back to 0.
- Vault level: back to 0.
- All of today's capacity rolls: cleared. Your capacity starts again from the start capacity alone (see above).
- Your Vault Max Level (Personal Best) stays and sets the new daily cap.
